Midland City Elementary School is currently made up of three main buildings.  Phase I, the oldest of the three buildings, was constructed in 1977.  First and second grade classes are located in this building along with the library, computer lab, a speech class and a teachers' workroom. Phase II is the second oldest and was constructed in 1978.  A music class, a gifted class, a physical education class, and second, third and fourth grade classes are located in this building.  The main office, guidance counselor’s office, nurse’s station, and lunchroom are located in this building. Phase III which was constructed in 2000 is the newest addition and houses kindergarten classes and a conference room.

http://www.homeworkalabama.org/   is a FREE online tutoring site made possible by the State library of Alabama.   Tutors are there from 3 p.m. until 10:00p.m. Sunday through Thursday in subjects ranging from English to Math, Science and Social Studies.
